Montseny Natural Park
One of the most emblematic landscapes of Cardedeu and the Vallès Oriental region is the Montseny massif. In 1978, UNESCO declared it a Biosphere Reserve due to its unique territorial characteristics, making it part of an international network of protected areas. For hiking enthusiasts, there are three mountain groups: the ridge of Turó de l’Home and Les Agudes (1,706 and 1,703 m), Matagalls (1,697 m), and Pla de la Calma (Puig Drau 1,344 m). The closest access to the Natural Park from Cardedeu is through the village of Cànoves. There are easily accessible points of interest for excursions and walks on foot, by bike, and/or horseback, such as the Vallforners reservoir and the large chestnut tree of Can Cuch.
